My experience with the staff and teachers at the Columbus School of Music and Dance has been nothing but good and exciting. I have watched as both of my children learned music in a very friendly and nurturing environment. My children have bonded well with their teachers and look forward for their next lesson with great enthusiasm. At this school, there are a variety of teachers trained in several instruments, so the students could easily try a variety of instruments as they wished.
Music is so important to our children's future, it helps in building talent, self confidence, relaxation and also helps in concentration. The additional dance opportunities also helps to compliment the musical skills all at one location. I have no hesitation in recommending the Columbus School of Music and Dance to my friends. Mrs. Amy is an amazing piano teacher! She has been teaching my son for a year and a half. He has learned so much from her. He loves music and looks forward to coming to lessons each week. I feel that getting McLendon involved in taking piano lessons was one of the best things that I have done for him. Music exercises all parts of the brain and learning how to play an instrument is a great thing for children to learn. The Columbus School of Music and Dance truly has excellent music teachers! Thank you Ms. Amy for making such a difference in my son's life!

Our experience at CSMD has been very fulfilling and has surpassed our expectations of what we hoped our children could accomplish at such a young age. We feel blessed to have our girls learn from such an enticing, energetic, gifted teacher who has passion for music and violin and shares that passion with his students. We've noticed, over the past year, that same passion developing in our children. Thank you for offering many opportunities for performing through recitals, public appearances, and group performances which build confidence in their performance ability. For the past year my daughter Breeanna has participated in various Dance, Piano, and Vocal classes at Columbus School of Music and Dance. Kaela, my 7 year old granddaughter, has taken flute lessons from her teacher for the past 16 months. I am amazed at what she has been able to accomplish and I credit that to teaching abilities. Amy is a wonderful encourager to her students and really makes music fun for them. As I watch other instructors each week come to the waiting area to get their students or bring them out after a lesson, it is obvious they not only have a love for music but a love for teaching as well.

I like flute lessons because I like to play my flute. My favorite thing about my lessons is getting to see my friends. My teacher is very funny. I like the feeling of when I finish a song. My teacher makes learning fun!!

My daughter Kathy takes flute lessons from CSMD. Her instructor is not only a talented teacher, but also possesses an infinite amount of patience! All of the instructors here are very talented and want their students to achieve their full potential, not just musically, but emotionally and socially as well. Taking lessons here in such a warm, family atmosphere is definitely money well spent. I couldn't think of a better way to ensure a well-rounded musical education for my daughter that compliments what she's learning in school. All three of my children wanted to continue music lessons when we arrived at Fort Benning. Each of them wanted to play a different instrument, and mom wanted lessons during the same time frame. This was not a problem for Columbus School of Music and Dance. All three children had lessons at the same time. The instructors at Columbus School of Music and Dance are very professional, experienced and knowledgeable. They are very encouraging with advice about the instruments they teach. As a musician myself I see and hear the quality instruction that is given.
